Welcome to 10,000 desolate geometric worlds ruled over by the sinister Sentinelโan omnipotent psychic entity perched on the highest peak. You are a disembodied consciousness capable of teleporting between robotic mannequins, waging a silent war of resource absorption to overthrow the Sentinel before its gaze drains your energy.
A truly surreal tactical experience played from a continuous first-person 3D perspective. You cannot move directly; instead, you absorb boulders, trees, and energy pods within your line of sight to gain energy units. You then create a new robot shell on a higher hill, transfer your consciousness, and absorb your previous body. If the Sentinel sees you, it begins leeching your energy with a terrifying psychic drone.
Geoff Crammond created a mathematical wonder using procedural fractal landscapes across 10,000 unique levels. The game's real-time 3D landscape rendering and stark, chilling silence created unmatched psychological dread.
Joystick Port 2: Pan panoramic viewpoint 360ยฐ. Fire triggers cursor to create boulders, plant trees, create robot hulls, or absorb objects.
Winner of the 1987 European Game of the Year awards, The Sentinel stands as one of the most original and cerebral video games ever conceived.
